I THOUGHT YOU WANTED ME - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - BECAUSE I WANT YOU ALL TO MYSELF, seo dae- hyun. yoo shiyeon. that was her name. nothing more. she was born in south korea, just like every one else here in seoul. she had one older brother, but she had not heard of him for at least five years. she barely had any friends; mostly because she was, during her childhood, always in some kind of dance training, foreign language training, or singing training. it had all started with that one audition that her brother had bought her to. if they one audition had not had happened, then shiyeon would not be the woman that she is today.
she only had been in one relationship. with dae-hyun. she loved him, to death. they met, and fell in love. it was all perfect once they merged the two record labels together into one. yet, one of her friends had just happened to interupt a date of theirs, and for some reason it ticked dae-hyun off. shiyeon never knew how exactly they had broken up, but she knew that it was bad, and horrible. after that, the friend that ruined the date is not shiyeon's friend any more, and shiyeon could see why. the relationship that shiyeon had with dae-hyun was great. now that they have broken up, there really has not been any thing that could set shiyeon straight. she's still madly in love with dae-hyun, but she will never admit it, unless he does first. she doubted that he liked her still any way.
but there shiyeon sat, in eccentric building's board room. the door was locked, and the only other person that just happened to have the key was dae-hyun. but there was no apparent reason for him to be in there. not like any thing was going on. shiyeon was just there to think to herself and be alone. she had her laptop with her, typing stuff up on the internet and updating such and such. it was drizziling outside again and shiyeon could only sit in the board room, staring at the blank screen of her laptop across from her. she felt bored, but yet that she had some thing to do that was ahead of her. beside the preformance that she just got a call for.
the call said that she would be doing a winter preformance the next night, at the stage. yet, it was with a duet. but he did not tell her who. she did not know who it would be with. why couldn't it just be her, instead of a duet? that meant that she had to rely on some one else to remember their lyrics and know what time to sing what. shiyeon never liked duets; she always prefered to do single preformances with just her normal back up dancers.
while she was caught up in thinking about all of this, she didn't even think about who the person that she would be preforming with. if she hadn't of accepted so soon, and in such a rush, she would have heard who her partner was. or maybe it was just because the man behind the phone knew her, or the partner that she was going to preform with. maybe the other person did know that he, or she, was going to preform with shiyeon, and would come to tell her, at the very least.
what if it was some one that she did not get along with? that would be bad. what happens if they got in a fight during rehearsal, or worse, on stage? shiyeon shook the thought off. quit being so negative, she thought, thinking back to regular things that people thought of.
with a knock at the door, her thoughts were vaguely interupted. however, the next couple of knocks that were louder definitely interuptted her thoughts. she could not stand to have some one else in the room at the time, but who knows? it could just be her duet partner. "come in," shiyeon spoke, speaking in a greetful tone. if they did not have a key, or shiyeon had just not locked it when she had came in, they would say some thing about not being able to open the door. looking back down at her laptop screen once again, the clock in the bottom right corner read 10:16 pm. she nodded, knowing that it was still going to be a while until shiyeon would pass out asleep again in the board room, only finding out that she woke up on her office couch in the morning. that subject had been bothering her all day; who had carried her from the boarding room back to her office? surely, it was only two stories up from the board room, so it was not much. but still, shiyeon had not expected to wake up in her office. it could not have been dae-hyun; it just would not be right if it was him. it would not be one of the people in either domain, because that probably would not be right. but, then again, it could have been one of them. just then, shiyeon had to settle on one of two things: either dae-hyun carried her back to her office, or she had magical powers that teleported her there.

i've never told a lie and that makes me a liar, NEVER MADE A BET BUT WE GAMBLE WITH DESIRE i've never lit a match with intent to start a fire. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - naturally, the night brought on the cold icy darkness that many nights before had held so similarly. as the sun fell, dae-hyun found himself waving workers and performers off as they'd give him a simple 'goodnight, dae-hyun' as they left. the large building was left quiet with the occasional janitor here and there though for the most part, dae-hyun was alone. there was nothing foreign about this, though. nothing strange or unnatural. often times, dae-hyun found that he was usually close to the last person to leave the building just as a security guard closed up for the night. this was how it always was.
a light flooded across the large oak desk as dae-hyun continued to scribble down quick song lyrics onto the blank piece of paper. meaningless and emotionless words filled the empty space as the monotone sound of an air-conditioner drowned out the slight sound of the rain outside. gradually, the pace of dae-hyun's pen slowed until it came to an abrupt stop and he dropped the pen. another failed attempt. dae scowled, his eyes darting from word to word before he crumbled up the paper and it was soon added to the mountain of other rejects. leaning back into his leather chair, dae-hyun groaned, rubbing away the tiredness from his eyes as he yawned. "god damn it, i don’t have this sort of time." he mumbled to himself, leaning foreword in his chair as he pulled out another blank piece of paper.
by now, dae-hyun had already determined that this was to be another sleepless night as he tried to break through his writers block in a false attempt to get some form of song written. it was futile though. dae-hyun knew he couldn’t do it and he supposed that everyone else should have to. dae was no artist and most likely the furthest thing from a lyrical prodigy, yet here he was... dying for the slightest inspiration for a song. 'why bother?' some would ask, trying their best to be the slightest support though 'support' wasn’t what dae needed right now. dae-hyun needed music. a song. lyrics. an idea for a performance. anything...
now if only dae could have gotten this done sooner. he knew he should have. now, early January, dae-hyun had been invited to be the live performance for the winter music awards. why? the producer supposed it would have been an honor to have a performance from a head of the eccentric label, and better yet, why not both? though dae was unsure of the idea of performing with... her.... much less at all, he knew that it would, in fact, be a good way to get the record's name out there... and it was. despite this, dae-hyun had put off lyric writing, choreography, and even inviting his 'partner' in on this up until now.
'why couldn’t you have written this sooner?' dae-hyun scolded himself, yawning yet again as he leaned back into the large chair. 'better yet, why didn’t you let her do it?' dae scowled, standing as he turned to stare out into the dark night from the large window. the last thing he would want to do would be to ask shiyeon for help. not after what happened...
dae-hyun shook the thought away, pacing the room slightly. god, he hated what just the thought of her name did to him. it simply wasn’t fair. she broke his heart, yet... he still loved her. 'no, you deserve better then that...' dae-hyun tried to convince himself though he knew that could only work for a short amount of time. he couldn’t possibly fully convince himself of that... never. dae frowned, turning his back to the large window and leaning on it slightly. it hurt to see her everyday... everyday after what happened.
"planning to turn in for the night?" a voice interrupted dae's thoughts, his gaze shooting quickly over to the door where an older looking man stood. he looked around his early fifties or later forties and though he offered dae a reassuring smile of tenderness, dae quickly brushed it off, returning to his desk to shuffle though some papers and grab his laptop. dae opened his mouth for an instant, pondering what to say before he shook his thought away. "i'm... sorry... if you have to finish something, go a head." the old man finally added, his smile fading slightly. dae-hyun glanced back up, observing the old man for a minute before he started slowly towards the door and past the man. "no, its fine, im leaving anyways."
as dae-hyun continued down the hallway, he kept his gaze towards the floor. most everyone was gone now and it was evident by the large lack of sound. during the days, eccentric was usually full with the hustle and bustle of others. people running from here to there often made it hard to walk but in this sudden silence, it would be almost unimaginable.
dae sighed, a blurriness from his sudden exhaustion kicking in. the lights in most every office were shut off, though as dae-hyun continued down the hallway, the light bleeding onto the floor from under a door caught his attention. dae paused, turning his gaze upward only to recognize the door to the board room and his breathing stopped.
as reality came into check and dae managed to catch his breath again, he found himself unable to turn away. only one other person could be there and though dae had the urge to turn away and continue to his parked car out in the darkness, a part of him told him not to. a part of him told him to go to the door and perhaps it was that same part that influenced him to knock.
the knock on the door interrupted the thick silence as the sounded echoed automatically. no reply came. 'knock again' he tried to tell himself though he still debated whether or not to turn around. 'no, stay...' he tried to assure himself as he soon found himself tapping his foot in irritation to the absent reply. 'maybe she’s asleep again...' again.
last night had been played out so similarly. dae had found the same light rushing from under the door and though he had let himself in the night before, he had also found a sleeping shiyeon. dae remembered the surprise and with the still remaining lingering affection towards her, carried her back to her office before he left to go home himself. dae shook the though away, knocking on the door again with more force before a reply finally came. "come in." dae paused, recognizing the voice, before he finally reached out to the handle.
as the door opened slowly, dae-hyun stepped through though he tried to resist the urge to turn back. there at the large table sat none other then shiyeon. Dae paused slightly. "shouldn’t you be getting ready to leave?" he started, half coldly though he quickly shook the question away after. 'if you’re going to be performing with her, then you might as well try to be nice...' dae paused, biting his tongue. it was true... "i mean... its late and all..." he tried to cover up, though it hardly helped at all. maybe he should have resisted going in... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WORD COUNT: 1,212 THE OUTFIT: original swag, yo! I THOUGHT YOU WANTED ME - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - BECAUSE I WANT YOU ALL TO MYSELF, seo dae- hyun. shiyeon had barely left the building for the past two weeks or so. it was not like she did not want to go home -- no, she actually wanted to. she even had to resist the offers from people from her own domain coming and offering a ride to her home for her. but she would reject, no matter who it was. shiyeon did not really have any thing to do at the building, yet, some thing was begging her to say. and being the big softie that she was, she would stay at eccentric, in the board room. why the board room? why not her office? well, at her office she would have fifty people wanting to talk to her at a time. in the board room, only her and dae-hyun could enter, but there was really no reason for him to be in there. it's not like every day they had some kind of important person come in where they had to do a meeting in the board room. well... they did, actually. but what did that matter? she was not in the board room all of the time, only during the evening and night. during the day, she would do the regular stay - in - the - office - and - answer - phone - calls routine. it was no like she was doing any kind of preformances for the previous day. but, tomorrow was a different story.
shiyeon had the urge to leave the board room, but then she even resisted. she sat there, silent, with only the mourn of the laptop in the room. she listened to the constant footsteps out side of the door from the people who were leaving. even some content chatter outside of the door, also. the laptop screen held about five windows. one was a player for music, another was the web browser, another was a notepad window open, with no other than failing words on it; and the other was where a video camera screen holder was kept, with a video paused. it was not any thing new.
on shiyeon's mind was naught, not even the thought of the preformance any more. she felt sleep hit her, but she resisted the falling of her head onto the table again. however, she worried about some thing that over came the sleep, instead. what about the lyrics for the song that she was supposed to sing with another person at the winter music awards? what about the choreography? surely, if this was going to be a duet, they definitely would not be doing one of her songs at it. plus, with the release of dozens of songs for her album that has summed up to this, she will win an award for it, right? and if eccentric wins some kind of award for being the top record label in seoul? south korea? who would accept it then? shiyeon? dae-hyun? or both? what would she say for the thanks? she sighed, laying her head down onto the table.
who would write the lyrics? shiyeon would, but she knew that dae-hyun was most likely writing them now. or trying to. she could never figure out why he wrote songs when he was not a musician himself. but then, all he focused on was work, work, work. so, of course he would. shiyeon was more layed back than he was, but she knew when to get serious. yet, she probably needed to be more serious when it came to business. yet, she did not know how. maybe she did when she was younger, but now, no way.
shiyeon actually wanted to apologize to dae, yet, she did not know how to. it would probably be some thing, if she did. surprising to dae, too. who would have thought that shiyeon would ever... apologize for some one else's actions? it was not even her fault, that break up. it wasn't dae's fault, either. if it was not for that friend, everything would be in better condition than it was now. what if dae had another girlfriend that he liked better? that would be bad, and how would shiyeon know? she did not really speak to dae all that much. even worse, what if that girl was his wife to be? but, shiyeon shook it off. what if, at that date, dae was going to propose to her? then she would be married by now, her father probably would hate dae for it, but if it was what shiyeon wanted, he would be happy for her.
not wanting to think about it, shiyeon focused back onto her laptop, but not really doing a thing with it. closing her eyes for a moment, she tried to clear her mind, knowing that if too many thoughts were in focus, she would most likely drift off asleep again. however, some one had knocked on the door and she spoke for the person to come in, acting like she did not know who it was but she knew that it was dae-hyun.
the door opened, and shiyeon turned her head to look at the visitor to the board room. "shouldn't you be getting ready to leave?" shiyeon heard dae-hyun say, but he quickly replaced it with some words after it. "i mean... its late and all..." shiyeon grinned to herself, before repling. "i'm actually surprised that you haven't left yet, dae-hyun." shiyeon said, continuing on. "anyway, i haven't really had a thought of leaving yet. just too busy with a bunch of thoughts in my head." shiyeon said, putting her elbow on the table and placing her chin in her palm. "why haven't you left yet? i figured you would have all ready." shiyeon said, pausing and concluding her lecture.
shiyeon knew that she sounded rude, and cold, but she was sleepy, so that was a reason. she actually surprised her self by grinning, even though it was to herself. she may have sounded depressed, but she was not. why would she be depressed? besides things that have happened in her past. but she was really not one to linger onto things in her past, but one thing she just could not forget. it was the break up between dae and her, of course, but she knew that she would have to forget it sooner or later.
